My ten-year-old daughter is on “Team Jacob,” so we bought this 1,000-piece puzzle. She’s done other 1,000-piece puzzles, so we figured this one would be possible. After a week, she has given up, and I’ve spent countless hours on it, only to have completed part of the frame and Jacob’s eyes, ear, and tattoo. The problem is that all of the thousand pieces are various shades of brown and black, and it seems as if every piece fits into every other piece, even if it’s clearly wrong. When two pieces fit snugly together, it is impossible to know if they’re correct, as both pieces will fit snugly with dozens of others. I suspect this puzzle was created very cheaply, to quickly capitalize on young girls’ insatiable desire for all things Twilight. I WILL finish it… but I wish I could borrow some of Edward’s immortality, because it might take that long.
